The first thing you should do in order to get closer to the positive money consciousness is to spend more time contemplating your purchases. You can apply this to every single thing you tend to buy in your daily life but start with bigger purchases, to ease your way into this practice.

Basically, ask yourself questions such as Do I really need this right now? Or Do I have something similar at home? Continue your questions further by asking If I buy this now will I have enough money for the essentials? And How will this purchase change my life?

Emotional spending is a real thing, and it would be best to distance yourself for a while from the item you’d want to buy on a whim. If you sleep on it, chances are you’ll wake up with a clearer mind and the right decision on the matter.

Save Where You Can

You have to spend money in order to live comfortably, but you also have room to save wherever possible. If money tends to be a big problem that stresses you out constantly, put all of your expenses on the paper.

When you face your monthly budget visually, you’ll be able to come up with saving solutions, too. For instance, you can stop buying some items that don’t really make a huge difference in your life, such as store-bought coffee, or paper newspapers and magazines.

Practice Gratitude
