Being an introvert can affect your health in many different ways, so it’s important to work on that and get out of the comfort zone. Most introverts have problems with connecting with other people and some basic activities are put aside. But it is important to take small steps in getting out of the comfort zone.

If you’re an introvert who prefers to stay home or go to less crowded places, there are many different ideas that you can try and include yourself in social activities.

Change your style

Start by adding some changes in your style. You might be used to the comfort of your home and comfortable clothes, but try adding some changes. You will be surprised how this can affect your mood. The good thing is that you can shop online and avoid crowded clothing stores. Use State Style fashion as an inspiration and create a new look for yourself. Once you do this, you are ready for other steps to get you out in the world.

Visit a museum 

Going to an art museum or a gallery can be a fun idea. You can always look up their exhibits in advance and choose a perfect day to go stroll through some of the most beautiful works of art. Invite a friend or two and enjoy the quiet environment and art. Art is a great conversation starter, so this can be your chance to share some impressions with your friends. 

You can use this chance to discuss some of the topics and themes covered in the exhibit that you visited. This way you’ll get to know each other even more through sharing your personal opinions.

Do a cook-off competition

Organizing a cook-off competition could also be a fun activity. This is a great way of spending some time with someone you like, but out of the spotlight. You can connect in the comfort of your home while doing something that challenges you and encourages you to be creative. You can even pick a theme for your cooking. 

For instance, you can choose one common ingredient like rice and then give it a twist by trying to combine it in a traditional Italian dish. Not only will you both learn how to manoeuvre around each other in the kitchen, but you will also get to enjoy a delicious meal together once the competition is over. And even if one of your dishes doesn’t turn out to be that great, you still had fun while spending quality time together.

Organise a game night

Another interesting idea if you’re more in the mood for staying home for the night is to organise a game night. There are various different board games you can play. For example, play a round of Scrabbles or Chinese checkers; learn how to play Chess, and so on.

Some of the board games could even be found in a themed edition of many popular TV shows, movies, and books such as Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, etc. A game night is a perfect chance for you to invite friends, put away the phones, get cosy, order some food and enjoy the evening with some of your favourite games.

Go to an animal shelter

Lastly, if you’re still not entirely sure how to relax with people, you might want to consider visiting an animal shelter. You can never go wrong with spending a few hours surrounded by cute puppies and kittens as they run around you in pure joy. 

Playing with baby animals must be the cutest thing ever. This way you’ll get out of the house, but won’t have to worry about long conversations or uncomfortable silence. It’s just you and a bunch of playful puppies ready to make your day. And if you are an animal lover, you might even end up taking one of the cuties from the animal shelter with you. 

You will learn a lot about taking care of a small living being that is in constant need of attention.


In conclusion, it doesn’t take much effort to spend some quality time with other people while enjoying some of the most fun activities out there. Even if your night includes staying at home, it doesn’t mean that there are no ways you can still have fun and enjoy your evening with friends.
