The more time goes by, the more we’re turning to natural beauty solutions. From makeup and skincare all the way to hair care, choosing organic products has become an ever-present trend many swear by. If you’re looking to swap your regular hair care routine and try out something new, we suggest you use this winter to try out some organic hair care approaches. With the following few tips, you won’t have any trouble offering your hair the best care so far.

Add volume to it

If you’d like to give some lovely volume to your lifeless hair, think about using an organic texturizer right after washing it. It will give your hair soft but bold definition. You’ll have stunningly defined curls or semi-waves that will stay defined throughout the day. If you maybe have curly hair, the texturizer will be your holy grail for the rest of your life. Only a dime size of it will work, as long as you apply it from the root to the ends. Depending on the length of your hair, you may need to apply more or less product.

Look for the right shampoo for your hair type

If you have oily hair, you’re probably feeling like the least lucky person, but there’s no need for you to be devastated. Natural products such as a quality oily hair shampoo will save you the trouble of washing your hair on a daily basis. What’s more, the experts claim that over-washing your hair can actually be damaging and only wreak havoc on your scalp. Washing your hair every day will strip away the natural oils and proteins that are needed to keep the hair and scalp healthy. So, with an organic solution to oily hair such as a high-quality shampoo for oily hair, you won’t have to worry about looking like you haven’t washed your hair in months.

DIY leave-in conditioner

If you need to maintain the body of hair throughout the week, make your DIY leave-in conditioner that will make it look fabulous day in and day out. You’ll need 8-10 oz. water and 1 tablespoon of a conditioner of choice. Grab a glass spray bottle and mix the two inside. Shake it until well combined. The best way to use the conditioner is to apply it while you shower, which will make the clean-up a lot easier. In case it sprays anywhere over your body, you’ll clean it up within seconds, without having a messy floor afterwards. The DIY leave-in conditioner can also be great for sprucing up your hair after styling it.

Dry your hair gently

Aside from appropriate washing and conditioning, your hair will also require a good drying routine. Instead of using a regular old towel on your hair, that can cause frizz and remove moisture, turn to a microfiber hair towel. A regular cotton t-shirt can do the work as well. You won’t have to deal with frizz again because there won’t be so much friction. What’s more, you’ll prevent breakage too. One of the good ways to dry your hair is to squeeze out excess water before you are out of the shower and then scrunch the remaining out with a microfiber towel or shirt.

Apply a hair mask

Hair masks are invaluable for hair care. This is especially true for winter months when hair is under a lot of influence of cold air, wind, snow and many other factors. Jojoba oil will do wonders for your hair if you saturate the hair with it completely. Use 1-2 tablespoons, rub it all over your hair and soak up the ends in particular, because they tend to be the driest part of the hair. You can either clip or tie your hair and let the oil sit overnight. Wash the hair in the morning with shampoo and conditioner.

Final thoughts

Proper hair care is essential if you want to have gorgeous locks. Therefore, think about switching to organic care and offer your hair only the best care.
