Shoulders are one of the most vital parts of the human body as they carry the load of the whole body but many times we suffer from injuries in the shoulder which cause huge discomfort to the whole body. Most of the problems related to pain in shoulders are caused by an injury in ligaments, cartilage, tendons or the muscles around it. The people who are most susceptible to these problems are generally daily workers and athletes. The most common problems that they face are the ones which involve shoulder blade pain or shoulder joint pain. Shoulder pains are mostly caused by an intensive and repetitive life routine. Here we will discuss some of the most common shoulder problems which we suffer from, that may require the use of a shoulder sleeve.

Dislocated Shoulder or Shoulder Instability

Shoulder being the most mobile joint of the body is often prone to dislocation. Most common complications which accompany a dislocated shoulder are bankart lesions and labral tears. Moreover, a dislocation in the shoulder can cause numbness or weakness near the injured area. A dislocated shoulder can be identified by an out of place shoulder, severe pain in the area and not being able to move the joint.

Frozen Shoulder or Adhesive Capsulitis

This problem is generally characterized by severe pain and stiffness in the joint of the shoulder. The symptoms generally begin slowly over a phase of one to two years, gets worse over time and then ultimately resolves. Treatment of frozen shoulder aims at regaining as much motion in the shoulder as possible and also easing the pain. For the treatment of this condition, one can choose between both surgical and non-surgical options as both choices are available.

Shoulder Impingement or Rotator Cuff Tendinitis

This problem is most commonly found in athletes who are young and middle-aged people. The people who are most vulnerable to this issue are the ones who use their arms in overhead activities such as basketball, swimming, etc. Many times pain can be caused by a minor injury but mostly it occurs without any apparent cause.  The onset symptoms of this injury are very mild and hence people generally fail to notice it and seek any medical attention for its treatment in the beginning stages.

Rotator Cuff Tears

Rotator cuffs are a group of muscles and tendons which are found surrounding the shoulder joint. Just like Shoulder Impingement people who perform overhead motions in their work or sports are most susceptible to it. One of the other major factors which lead to this condition is the onset of age. Pain, in this case, is generally characterized by a dull ache which originates deep in the shoulder. It is also generally accompanied by weakness in the arm. For the treatment of this condition, one can choose between both surgical and non-surgical options as both choices are available.

You should remain alert and if any of the above mentioned symptoms are experienced by you then you should immediately seek medical attention. For more information on shoulder sleeves, check out
