Scars are the result of the skins protective action against any type of injury to itself. It is a natural way of ensuring that the wound heals quickly and without any infections. 

Getting rid of scars through natural ingredients is simple and effective, especially for scars from acne, minor burns, and so on Most of the things required can be found in your kitchen, so give it a try and see the scars fade away naturally.

  1. Lemon juice has great skin lightening properties; its application can do wonders to your scars,
  2. and rubbing the lemon directly into the scar will cause it to fade and reduce blemishes.
  3. Honey is another product that is great for applying and consuming. Apply honey on scars and massage gently, and then wash off with cool water. Drinking honey with lemon in the morning also does wonders in improving blood circulation, which is good for the skin.
  4. Almond soaked overnight, peeled, mashed, and mixed with rose water is another magic concoction.
  5. Take a potato, grate it, extract its juice, and apply this on your scar. You can also place slices of potato directly on the scar by rubbing it gently.
  6. For scars from burns, applying a mixture of barley, yogurt and turmeric, will not only cool, but also fade the scars over time.
  7. Placing slices of cucumber or tomato, or applying their juice is also very good.
  8. Sandalwood powder mixed with rose water or milk to form a paste is also effective. Regular application on face fades marks and improves skin quality. You can make face mask for acne scars out of it.
  9. Coconut oil, lavender oil and even tea tree oil are some great and readily available options.
  10. Take an aloe Vera leaf and cut it into half, extract its juice and apply daily on the scar.
  11. Fenugreek works in many ways and it can reduce the scars too. Mix the leaves into a fine paste and apply it on the scars.
  12. Take fenugreek seeds and boil them; make a paste and apply it on the scars.
  13. Vitamin E capsules are easily available at many pharmacists and can be mixed with olive oil or directly applied on the scars to treat them.
  14. Cocoa butter not only moisturizes your skin, but its regular use has shown to reduce the scar marks.
  15. Apple cider vinegar when mixed with equal parts of water makes for a great face rinsing solution. This fades marks and makes the skin soft and supple.
  16. Azadirachta indica, also known as Neem or Indian Lilac has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Take a few leaves and make a paste or boil them in water. Apply it on the scar and wash with water after 10-15 minutes.
  17. A paste made from fullers earth and rose water, including turmeric, is great for fading scars from acne.
  18. Creams and lotions containing salicylic acid are very good for fading old scars or scars from surgeries.
  19. Scrum made with papaya and salad gently exfoliates skin to get rid of dead skin.
