1. Apple vinegar

For a foot bath, take eight cups of warm water and add two or three tablespoons of apple vinegar. Soak your feet in the solution for 15-20 minutes. After that, be sure to complementary fry your feet with a towel.

2. Tea tree oil

You can also make DIY creams and ointments with tea tree oil. You need to take a foot cream and add a few drops of tea tree oil. You can also place a few drops of tea tree oil into a carrier oil (coconut or olive). Rub the mixture into the affected area until the skin will absorb the mixture.

3. Baking soda

Baking sod attends to be one of the most popular home remedies that help cope with athlete’s foot. It has antibacterial and antifungal properties that effectively eliminate fungi. In order to make a foot bath, mix half a cup of baking soda with a large bowl of warm water. Soak your feet for 15-20 minutes and don’t rinse them after the bath. After that, thoroughly dry your feet.

4. Sea salt

A foot bath with sea salt perfectly copes with the fungal microorganisms on the epidermis. Sea salt contributes to the dissolution of the protective membrane of fungal cells and inhibits their vital activity. The regular use of these baths provides a keratolytic effect on the foot skin. It is a good prevention of the further occurrence of fungal infections since sea salt improves the quality of the protective layer on the epidermis.

5. Coffee

Chilled coffee is also often used as an antifungal agent, which can slow the proliferation of fungal cells. Coffee causes damage to fungal walls, which leads to a decrease in the focus of infection and the affected area. Coffee should be applied as a solution to the affected area and coffee grounds can be used as part of masks and ointments against the multiplication of fungus.

6. Green tea

Green tea can help reduce itching and peeling of the skin, which are symptoms accompanying the athlete’s foot. Lotions with green tea can be applied to the affected skin area to inhibit the vital functions of fungi. You should apply such lotions twice a day (in the morning and in the evening) and fix them on the skin surface with linen or wool fabric.
