Many times when we buy homeopathic medicine or are prescribed one by a certified homeopath, we expect to get the “magic” healing that we’ve been waiting for a long time.
Sometimes to our disappointment however, we may be prescribed a remedy for a certain duration of time, and we see absolutely 0 results or less progress than we would expect. Especially for newer users of homeopathy, it can be a major disappointment after switching out of allopathy or other natural therapies.
Why Isn’t My Remedy Working?!
There are several reasons for why this can happen. Here are some examples:
- You or the homeopath may have picked an incorrect remedy suited for your overall physical, mental and emotional symptoms.
- You simply need more time for your remedy to start kicking in, especially if you have more longterm, deep chronic issues.
- It may in fact be working, but it is working very subtly to the point that you may not be able to perceive to [this happens ALOT]
- You may have been given the right remedy, but you just need take a remedy with a higher potency.
- The remedy was antidoted by a particular substance or energetically strong action.
These are the most common reasons for why a person’s remedy actually or seemingly doesn’t work [not as effectively].
WARNING – Avoid These During Remedy Intake!
Other times, there are certain activities or items a person can be performing or consuming that can pose an issue.
These things may or may not be controllable, but it is imperative to avoid these items and activities for a more efficient healing process via Homeopathy.
The following items all may be able to throw you off the homeopathic healing process , and the common thread between all of these items are the fact that they can energetically put you in a different state of being.
As mentioned previously, homeopathy is an energy-based system of medicine, and this fact allows it to bring holistic healing to all who need it.
That being said, it is sensitive to other items and activities that can put you in a different state of being and critically alter your feelings and mind, whether for good or for bad.
All of the following issues have been the most common factors professional homeopaths have found for remedy interferences. Here are the most common issues that may interfere with taking a remedy:
Although most homeopaths discourage the consumption of coffee while on a remedy, there is room for dispute on this matter. So for all coffee lovers out there, you don’t have to skip this part.
Coffee contains certain types of alkaloids which give you that rush of energy you normally get after drinking a cup of Joe in the morning.
These chemical compounds are very strong; this one of coffee’s key ingredient in giving one with more energy in the first place.
The biologically induced energy input of coffee’s alkaloids can interfere with a remedy’s effect on the vital force. This can possibly either negate the remedy’s effect’s partially or totally.
On the flip side, many users of Homeopathy, including myself and a few homeopaths, have noticed either minor or no effect of coffee on a remedy. Those people are somehow able to drink coffee and take a remedy with no issues.
Practically speaking, it seems best to avoid coffee if you can. If you’re an addict and can’t let it go, there seems to be a basis to be lenient.
By the way, caffeine is definitely fine. Thus, caffeinated drinks such as tea and soda pose no problem whatsoever.
Camphor is commonly used for smells, oil, and other medicinal purposes. Since their smells are very strong, one should definitely avoid Camphor. Anyways, your remedy can potentially give you better results over time.
Medicinal Herbs & Smells
Although anyone can use homeopathic remedies while taking allopathic medications or other therapies, strong medicinal herbs and smells are not recommended to take while using a remedy.
They contain ingredients that can unbalance the effects of a homeopathic remedy, thereby preventing your progress in healing.
As a side note, medicinal herbs and smells are not the same as homeopathy.
While some are holistic, they generally aim to heal a single symptom and contain physical, not energetic properties that exist in homeopathic remedies.
Sudden Shock, Trauma
Accidents, grief, terrorist attacks, and other sudden, shocking, and traumatic incidents can severely throw us off our state of being and alter our mindset.
Our emotions and mentality intensely change on an acute level.
Of course, this powerfully energetic-like effect can interfere with a homeopathic remedy intake. It can also lead to a temporary substitute remedy to treat this type of shock and sudden change.
For most acute sudden shocks, traumas, accidents or the like, Aconite 200c is highly recommended, though a 30c can also help too. When taken consistently right after a traumatic or shock incident, it can help your mind settle into place.
This also applies to hearing bad news, such as a death of a loved one or a breakup.
Any source of radiation should be avoided, as they can literally zap the energy present in any homeopathic remedy.
That means that the remedies themselves should be kept at a distance from T.V.’s, computers, TSA machines, and the like.
If a remedy is covered and it is next to any of these devices, it should be fine.
All forms of recreational drugs, such as marijuana, cocaine, heroine, LSD, hookah, hashish, and the like are forbidden to be used when taking a remedy.
Although there are homeopathic remedies that are derived from certain drugs, the strength of these actual drugs in their original form can totally negate the effects of any remedy.
Just as homeopathy can holistically heal a person on all levels, recreational drugs can holistically damage a person on all levels-spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and definitely physically.
Homeopathy is not the only energy modality out there.
Many other alternative treatments such as acupuncture and Reiki also use various types of energy-like methods to bring about holistic healing.
Though they are different methods, most of these attempt to reach the same healing goal as homeopathy.
Though this is a bit of a dispute among homeopaths, some agree that it is best to avoid using homeopathy while using other modalities together, since when different energies are reacting together as healing mechanisms, they can nullify each other out.
As a result, true healing will not come about.
For a final decision, it is best to consult your homeopath, acupuncturist, or other alternative health practitioner.
