Many people suffer from various oral health problems, from periodontal disease to caries. These diseases are very tricky and their danger is often underestimated. People usually start doing something, when the disease gains enough development to cause significant discomfort. However, these problems can be prevented with minimum time and effort.

It all begins with proper oral hygiene. Not cleaning your teeth often enough or doing it using the wrong technique won’t actually make them cleaner. Dental plaque that remains on our teeth, will over time turn into a hardened buildup that can destroy your gums and lead to a loss of teeth. Proper hygiene is the key to healthy teeth and gums.

Another important aspect is healthy food. Your daily menu should be rich in vitamins and nutrients to nourish your teeth from both the outside and inside. Even if you do everything scrupulously, there can never be too much prevention and protection effort done for your teeth and gums.

How to Strengthen Your Oral Health Naturally

These domestic remedies for protecting and strengthening your oral health are completely natural, won’t cost you a fortune, and take up a minimum amount of time. Applying them regularly will ensure that your teeth and gums are provided with the extra protection against oral diseases they need.

Tea tree oil remedy

The essential oil of the tea tree gives your gums and teeth health and strength. It has antibacterial properties that help destroy harmful bacteria in your mouth. Although the taste and flavor is not something everyone will like, it will make your breath fresher.

Recipe: Take a glass of water. Add three drops of the tea tree oil. Rinse your mouth.

Eggplant skin powder rinse

It is an excellent remedy for weak oral health. You can cook it yourself from leftovers on your table. Just peel off the eggplant’s skin and dry it in an oven. Then mince it into a powder.

Recipe: Mix 1 tbsp. of the powder with a glass of water. Let it rest for 10 minutes. Add 1 tsp. of salt and rinse your mouth.

Cognac rinse

This strong and noble alcohol drink can also serve as an excellent antibacterial rinse for your teeth, helping to rid of caries-causing germs. No recipe here just rinse your mouth with it!

Saline rinse

A basic salt you use for food can help you get rid of bad breath and reduce the inflammation in your gums.

Recipe: Mix 1 dessert spoon of salt with a glass of water and rinse your mouth.

Horseradish and wine

Both of these ingredients are good for the health of teeth and gums. Antioxidants in wine nourish your gums and the spicy elements in horseradish kill bacteria. This combo is a real treasure for your oral health!

Recipe: Grate the horseradish until you have 2 tbsps. of its juices. Mix it with a glass of wine. Rinse your mouth after meals with this mixture.

Choose one of these recipes or use all of them. Your family dentist will be pleasantly surprised to see how much your oral health has improved with these natural rinses.
